Friday night

Got up and headed to cave tubing! Great adventure. They've had little rain and the river is quite low, so 'butt's up' was an appropriate term today. (Butts up is a phrase referring to having to raise your butt while in the tube so you don't get scraped.)

Breakfast was an omelet, pancakes and fruit with toast. Very fluffy eggs!!!

Lunch was awesome chicken, beans, rice and fruit.

We left for Xuetunantunich (Mayan ruin close to here). Beautiful!!! Last year I didn't make the hike but this year all 17 of us did! We had some great guides, too!

Dinner was pibil (roasted pig cooked on the ground). Geoffery treated a couple of us to a bite of the pig's ear... It was like the white fatty part on the bacon. I did ok until someone yelled... There's a hair! More on this traditional dinner soon.

I got to spend some time with Geoffery's daughter, Angelica!!! Such a sweet pea!!!!

Final prayer service was spectacular! We'd said prayers for those traveling here tomorrow for the second half of the mission trip next week! We'll be keeping you all in prayer and look forward to hearing about your time!

Ellie is so proud I made it up the ruin.

All of us! 😀
